Most of them are, by our standards, fat. There are a few trim fellows over in MC that are supremely steezy (a few that come to mind: yfyf, maomao, parker, sterling gillette, gshen, IST66). No coincidence that they usually wear tapered pants.

I'm thinking specifically of about a 501 rise, so maybe that's more like mid-rise. Still, hard to find even that in a skinny jean.

I can see why you wouldn't want to look too sharp at some very conservative firms, but at most offices I don't think it is a problem.

Yes? What did I say that implied otherwise?

An 10.5-11 inch rise comes to a bit below my navel, which is where i'd ideally like the waist on my jeans to sit.

You were saying that girl jeans have high rises, they have very low rises... And fwiw 10.5-11 is mid, not high, rise

You've got your nomenclature mixed up. What you think is a "high rise jean" is in fact called a "low rise jean." Rise refers to the measurement from the bottom of your crotch (roughly your taint) to the top of your waist band, in the front it's called "front rise" and in the back, "rear rise." Generally only the front rise is mentioned and if which rise is not specified, assume a measurement refers to the front rise.

Honestly I believe tan suede would be optimal, but I don't own a pair at the moment.

I have a pair of Margiela white summery cotton trousers, I can wear them with:

-Cognac zip boots
-chocolate chukkas
-white Repettos (need to drop by the store and get new ones)
-dirty white mmm perforated leather boots
-white mmm sneakers (high or low)

In other words I avoid black and go for browns and whites.
