Squats and deads fill the bill nicely.
Srsly duderino, the last 20+ pages have been dedicated to dishing out advice to toasty who's starting out, among others there have been numerous tips and videos on squatting and DLing.
I know this is pretty upper body heavy.

I would be up for adding more lower body, but not sure what to do.
