Which jacket fits?

I'm trying to decide which jacket fits the best. I have a 36R and a 38S. 36R: http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...4/IMG_0919.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...4/IMG_0918.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...4/IMG_0920.jpg 38S: http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...4/IMG_0922.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...4/IMG_0921.jpg http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/u...4/IMG_0923.jpg I feel like the 36 is better in the shoulders but I think it is too long. Not sure how I feel about the shoulders on the 38, but I do like the length. To be clear, either jacket would be tailored in the body and sleeves. I just want a jacket that fits in the shoulders and the body length. I'd appreciate if people would elaborate more on why either jacket doesn't fit. I feel like just in terms of the shoulders i'm borderline between the two, but people are saying they're both too big which is surprising.

They both look too big, but you could have the 36 tailored.

36 is still a little big, but the overall jacket length is fine for the cut, the sleeves are a little long but you can get them altered. 38s isn't close to fitting well.

From the picture I could not tell if the second jacket was a little big. What gave it away?

they look the same length, but the sleeves are shorter on the 38, I wouldn't pick a jacket based on sleeve length as that is the easiest thing to change (usually).
Obviously the 36 fits better, but next time take pictures from higher up, the waist/lower angle isn't good for fit pics as it distorts proportions (usually negatively).

I will take more photos from a better angle soon. The 36 is about 1.5-2 inches longer than the 38

Look at the back of the 36 vs the 38. The 36 fits well, not perfectly but decently. Gives him a nice, tapered V shape. The 38 makes him look like a square, and there's too much wrinkling from the extra fabric.

Personally I'd want to size up to about a 42.

First one looks good. It's bubbling in the back because - I believe - you need to cut the rear vent open. Sleeves can be shortened a tad.

I'd cut the vent and try it on with a trouser that's not denim. Then we can really see how it lays. I agree that jacket number 2 definitely looks too big.

yah, there's a single stitch holding it closed, and BR won't notice/car if you cut it.
