Returning them since I ordered cordovan, but pretty none the less.

are these single soles? the sole is v close-cut, they look great
I'm not 100% sold on cordo for wholecuts and formal shoes cos of the potential for creasing. I mean, I like the creasing, but there's a time and a place for it, and not

Totally agree Trini , i'd love a pair of Vass but just cant get a handle on what size i'd be and dont particularly fancy dropping £600 ish on something that may not fit. Is it the case with most here that its trial and error with Vass you just gotta get a pair and go from there??

Pretty much. I have my first pair coming in soon (something similar to the ones above) and they are going to fit by any means necessary.

iirc, i mentioned that before. why don't you take your measurements and send them to vash. they'll tell you then.

Kev not sure if it helps but I'm a UK 8E on the C&J 348, EG 888, and EG 202. I take a 42 in Vass on the U last and it's a perfect fit.

Trini, was it you that was concerned with the width of the F last earlier in the thread? I'm in a similar situation and I'm curious to hear what you did for sizing and also how they fit. Length doesn't seem that confusing to me (nearly positive I'd be a 43.5), but width is another story. F last looks like it has some room in photos but photos can be deceiving sometimes.
