Nahh, they were just one wall short.

Are all your blue socks of the same make and model?

Have you considered hiring a specialist assistant to match your socks?

You are not the first person I've heard only wears navy socks with everything for simplicity's sake. I don't like to spend too much effort looking for interesting socks but if they're easy to find I will wear them. By default I have a huge collection of socks, so many that if a given pair do not stay up properly, I throw them out. Referencing a later post, what would you need cream socks for?

You mean you've returned to sanity? Congrats!

I only wear blue wool socks most of the time. Occasionally I do maroon or brown. Occasionally.

I don't, but apparently I thought I needed them at some point, and they are a really nice cashmere. I guess I'll wear them around the house someday when it is cold.

On the one hand, Matt made the first post in this thread and three pages of people followed him. On the other hand, I read all three pages and am responding.

If you're sticking to one color, why not go with maroon? It looks just as nice as blue with grey, charcoal and brown, but provides a nice contrast to blue trousers.

Matching your socks requires 5 min/week at most. You've only got yourself to blame. Mine don't match but most are grey. It's not like I'll take 5 minutes to take care of that ****.

You need to tag your socks.

I am pretty stupid, and almost blind, but even I can match my socks.

I lose socks unaccountably, however.

Iamatt is simply manifesting the current OCD being spread across this forum. Soon, he will be folding his socks exactly 12 times, placing them in individual, sharpie-marked, zip lock bags.
