    Tuxedo shirt collar question

There are a lot of little things with Tux's to look out for. If you are going with standard collar and not wing collar that is fine. It is more modern and will work with black tie. Make sure the bow tie is not wider than your face or it'll look odd.

First MTM Purchase - Please help me with fit

Personally, I'm okay with the button stance. The pants are a touch too slim. That is in right now, but will not be timeless. It is a major improvement over the last time we saw these. IMO, only very sharp dressed gentlemen will find anything wrong with your suits at this point. TMG

New Suitsupply Napoly 38S fit advice

Those pics work. Okay: 1) The shoulders are large. The seams fall off the top of your shoulders and you have a shoulder nipple on your right (our left in the photo) shoulder. The entire suit needs to go down a size. 2) What's up with those sleeves? One looks the right length the other...

New Suitsupply Napoly 38S fit advice

Okay, those pics wont help us. They are too close to take in the full garment. Have someone take full length pictures of you so we can see how it hangs, fits, and looks from the front, side, and back.

About formality and acceptability of side adjusters

That's a good question. I usually see side adjusters on pants that do not have belt loops i.e. tuxedo pants. Other pants that have a belt loop should be tailored properly and worn with a belt. That being said, if you want to go without a belt, side adjusters are completely acceptable as nobody...

Tailoring My Own Clothes - Some Questions

Okay, so I took my baggy jeans, turned them inside out and put them on. On the inseam, I used tailors chalk to mark where my leg was (pinch the fabric and mark your leg). I then measured about 6" for a foot opening and made another mark. From there, I took a line from that foot opening up and...

Tailoring My Own Clothes - Some Questions

I'll have to look. I did my jeans yesterday and they turned out great! Turned baggy early 2000's jeans into modern fit jeans in just 2 hours (did 3 pairs)

How would you wear this jacket?

Personally, I would wear an ecru shirt or something more in the pale yellow category, forget the tie altogether and wear white or khaki pants with a brown belt and shoes. This would be a spring/summer outfit only though

    Blazer help

^ this. The pose is horrible and the jacket is short all over except in shoulder width

    London tailor, budget max 1200$

Is that $1,200 for a full suit or $1,200 just for alterations? Lol. For $1,200 you can break into Hickey Freeman territory. In london hit up Savile Row. You'll find suit makers there...a lot of them. I have a nice Hardy Amies savile row suit that I am sure you can find for about $1,200

HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014)

LOL! But I feel like asking someone take my picture is odd and pretentious. Especially where I live. A place where people show up to formal events in their best jeans and flannel.... before you ask, I hate where I live.

HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014)

Thank for the kind? words lol. I don't have a mirror in my office yet so the bathroom is the place. I also don't have a full length mirror in my house. My wifes closet has a semi full length mirror but the lighting sucks. As to the tie, I am realizing that a lot of my ties are dated. I will...

Tailoring My Own Clothes - Some Questions

Hi all - I know a few of us around the boards are tailors so I have a few questions about tailoring my own clothes. Before you say "take it to a tailor" I have but I live in a town of 3,000 people and my nearest metropolis is 75 miles away. So a proper tailor is hard to find. That being said...
