Totally agree with the Okkervil run-down. I love The Black Sheep Boy.

The recent Spoon album is very good. I don't think any of the albums I have of their's are mind-blowingly great, but they're so consistent. They always do a very solid rock album. There seems to be a lot of 50's pop infulences on this one.

Moving Units' "Hexes for Ex's"
Midlake's "Trail of Occupanther"

The latter's been stuck in my head for quite a while now.

I'm also trying to listen to the new Receiving End of Sirens but I think I need a few more listens before it catches.

I just found this YouTube video, so see for yourself.

Recently re-discovered an old acquaintance/friend of the family. Evidently she is a signed recording artist with ATIC records, living in England, has a kid, and is working on a followup album. Pretty decent stuff if you like jazzy soul/ pop/electro stuff.
