That is so cliche, a good suit is not meant to be noticed. I think it's bullcocky. A well fitting, well made suit should be noticied regardless of how conservative the styling or color is. If it is not, you might as well shop at Men's Warehouse

Shopping at Men's Wearhouse will definitely get you noticed but in the Brummellian sense no individual item on a well dressed man should stand out. Yes, a man may draw attention because he is wearing a suit, but if eyes are drawn to your Kiton windowpane it's too loud.
