Manton, if you were wearing the shirts there'd be less quibbling, but then you knew that.

Even so, a photo won't necessarily do it justice cause it doesn't capture the little things that might be done right by a great shirtmaker. FWIW I'm willing to take Manton's word on it. I'd probably give Kabbaz a shot if I were making 7-figures. Otherwise, I could never justify the price for something that ultimately wears-out fairly quickly. However, he does replace collars and cuffs which is at least something.

I was confused about this thread until I realized it's some big self aware styleforum in-joke. And I'm starting to think Manton's answers to my "trad book" thread may be insincere.

Haha, yes you win.

However, I think you need to ask for better pictures from him also.

So what else here is some big ironic brewhaha?
Are trad clothing, AE shoes and raw jeans all just big silly jokes that you all play on one another while you actually wear black express suits, 7 jeans and orange crocs?

Check out that What are you wearing now in the Streetwear forum on P. 277. I am wearing a black jacket (albeit Hugo Boss, not Express,) Seven Relaxed Bootcuts in the NYD wash, and orange Chucks - no crocs lol.

You seem to have missed my point. When Vaclav trolls, it's funny. When Manton trolls, it's not, particularly on a subject where a serious discussion of the details that constitute superior quality by someone qualified to render it would be of benefit to just about everyone.

In short, I won't be upgrading to Manton 2.0.1.

I think you have missed the point. This thread was not meant to hold a serious discussion.

Do you really want to have a lame-ass, serious discussion about a custom shirt?

As George Harrison said when he saw the Bee Sharps performing on the roof of Moe's Tavern, "It's been done."
