Lately I've been trying to get more into colours. It's not too common around here as pretty much everyone wears a muted scheme. However, in honour of the warmer, brighter months i.e. Apr-Oct when one got a tan going on it's easier to be more adventurous with colours. As most already said one loud colour item per ensemble is quite enough.

I like bright red, particularly in socks/ties/pocket squares, and in sweaters:

Well, maybe a bit in the tie. That's it.

hmm... Okay... so no side vents on jackets and no color, right? What else should we avoid?

I wear a lot of color - I wear several shades of dark blue, and several shades of dark gray. I even go wild and wear a dark brown overcoat in the winter.

some of my dark blue and dark gray ties have crests, dots and stripes on them with yellow, rid, pink and other go to hell colors. oh, and one of my blue shirts has a faint pink stripe, and one of my charcoal gray suits has a faint red stripe.

I am just a wild and crazy guy!!

I have got to admit I have a preference for some pretty funky colors as long as I can keep the color at a distance to my face (pale complexion due to an unhealthy amount of studying lately). I wear for example a navy blue sweater and a brown herringbone sportcoat with bright light green linen incotex pants. I have various pants from incotex and loro piana in bright colors like sky blue, pink and green. And my favourite lately is cream incotex moleskin pants with my unstructured and unlined polo flannel polo blazer. So for me bright colors are ok as long as it is limited to one item I wear. I always balance the color with a charcoal or light grey sweater or sportcoat and that looks fine by me.

I have some really loud colors in my wardrobe, but I have found that most....probably 70% of my ties and shirts are some sort of blue...

But I love a lot of reds and fuschias and pinks

I'm from the splash of color school of thought. Ties, pocket squares and many times shirts that are bold but I do prefer my suits to be timeless and more muted.
