Any of the browns on the light half of the spectrum, all the way down to London Tan. Every maker has different names for these colors, but for EG, say, Chestnut and lighter. A brown with a little red in it is also good. I would not hesitate to wear spectators (brown & white only, not black & white) with a tan suit, but I would not wear solid white. Another option is a leather & canvas spec, in brown and tan or brown and olive.

Sweet, I just bought a tan suit and was wondering what the hell to do about footwear. Thank God I also just bought a new pair of burgundy shoes!

Thanks for the advice so far.

I have found a pair of chocolate brown suede monkstraps from C&J with matching belt.

They have some nice burgundy brogues that will also do the trick.

Me too! I was just thinking today what kind of shoes I should wear with it. I was actually considering black! Once again SF is timely and saved me from a faux paux. I am going with my brown suede wing tips. Thanks SF!

I would go with gray. But I'm a very strange person.
