Tbh I would feel quite embarrassed getting out my mobile phone and showing him the picture because the shop is normally quite busy my brother went in once and had to wait 2 hours, and its only one guy who cuts evreyones hair.

then you're not going to get the haircut you want. if you can't describe it, then bring a picture.

i've been doing this for years and they've only messed up my haircut once (new person)

Why would you feel so? There's no reason for that at all. People won't even there see it as weird. Almost sure of it. If anybody there thinks it's embarrassing, something's wrong with them. I understand why you are shy, but don't be. There is simply no reason to by shy. I pulled pictures out of my pocket infront of three guys that were waiting there and started explaining it to the barber. Nobody there as far as I noticed looked at me the weird way or said something about it. And if they did, I'd look at them like if they were marsupialed.

Don't have that attitude, it will stop you from achieving your goals in life, and in this case, it stops you from getting your desired haircut. Really think about it. You let the fact that somebody will think about you something get in your way of getting your desired haircut. Who gives a **** what they gonna say, it's none of your business. Go to your barber and show him the picture and say: "I want this".

I don't open a lot of these hair threads. But this is the first cut I actually approve of. Simple and clean.

And on the subject of showing a pic to a barber. I could care less, but I go to a mans man barber shop called "the barber shop" filled with old guys that talk **** to eachother 24/7 not unlike "Gran Torino". So while if a newbie said 'hey I want this cut', it might be tough - but if my guys laughed at me I'd laugh, say **** off, and say cut my damn hair.
