Curious what thoughts are on Canali MTO..

1. Canali fits me well off the rack.
2. Seem like a lot of nice spring/summer fabrics to order from.
3. Decent detailing options to choose from, in terms of buttons, pockets, etc.
4. You are essentially paying retail plus a small markup for special order
5. Estimating about 1800-2000 for a canvassed MTO suit.

Downside is paying full retail for a fit and maybe fabric (no guarantee that you'd find the fabric that you could order) that could be had off the rack at sale prices as the season matures - of course you miss some of the season - but I am purchasing a garment for more than one season.

There might be other alternatives in MTM/Bespoke that might be had in the same price range but not in a specific house style like Canali.. but harder to source outside of NY/Chicago/LA/HK etc.

Would you pull the trigger on the Canali MTO?

I would and have, a MTO Canali Kei jacket in a wool/cashmere hopsack. It's the ultimate sportcoat for travel. No regrets. Go for it!
