Born in Canada but my father is from Kefalonia.
Greece is my favorite country. I've seen fat old Greek men eat shirtless at nice restaurants in Athens. That it makes it the most laid back country on earth.
Smoking indoors was great too. Apparently that's changed now due to new laws.
Are you serious? I was in Greece for Christmas. NOTHING has changed--everybody smokes, even at restaurants (well, not at every restaurant I guess). It's pretty disappointing if you're a nonsmoker. I wonder when it's going to change.
but alas, I am of Southern-Italian descent, so we're just cousins.
I'm in Bay Ridge...its Brooklyn's Astoria, and Astoria is America's Greece. I work with a ton of Greek girls at work...love the Greek food round here (4th and 86th)...but alas, I am of Southern-Italian descent, so we're just cousins.
NYR, I've been to Southern Italy and Sicily twice, and I I was astounded by how similar Greeks and southern Italians look and behave.
