Yeah...the offside was pretty blatant.
Sorry, I didn't see the match, but what is that picture supposed to show? It cannot be proof of offsides as far as I can see. Who delivered the ball? For that matter, where is the ball? b
A simple line would have worked just as well, but here we are.
Isn't it on-sides if the ball is struck behind the defender in the first place. That is, the header actually occurs between the last defender and the goal. So no off-sides, correct?
the header you see being struck is actually the pass to klose who headed in from the white rectangle...
Well, yeah. Isn't that the pass that is claimed to be to Klose in an offsides position? Klose is offsides because he's between the last defender and the keeper. But the pass comes from another player also between the last defender and the keeper. so no offsides?
No, the teammate playing the ball would have to be forward of the receiving player (Klose) for it not to be offside in this case.
