It was the best picture I could find, but whoever made this essentially cut out Klose where he was when the ball was struck and inserted him where he would be if he was onside. The ball is being struck by the other player with his head. A simple line would have worked just as well, but here we are. This video (at 0:13) has the line....

Isn't it on-sides if the ball is struck behind the defender in the first place. That is, the header actually occurs between the last defender and the goal. So no off-sides, correct?Originally Posted by rdawson808

No, the teammate playing the ball would have to be forward of the receiving player (Klose) for it not to be offside in this case.
