Maybe I should call anyways. The lady who wrote me could have just not known what she was talking about.

Do you have item numbers for any of those pieces?

I emailed to ask about the red chambray and the fireman's jacket and the reply was really helpful.

The "Sunwashed Selvedge Utility Shirt" will be available on Feb. 23rd for $98.
The Fireman's Jacket in March for $268.

And both will be available extra small. Awesome for me, bad for my wallet.

if EGs red chambray and other comparable shirts run about 150 why buy a J.Crew one for 100?

I vow to spend less this year @ JC. Trying to keep this as my only Q1 purchase.

Except those cognac Alden wing tips I spied today at the Liquor Store for $440. Oh my God. I could blow 2g's on shoes in there in 10 mins, so fn easily.

Yeah, I think it's a no-lose purchase. It's not like we don't know anything about their vintage chambrays (their a staple here), so it's really a no risk purchase (unless it is an incredibly odd shade of red that doesn't come through in pics - not likely).

That's what I've been wondering for a while too.

Oh well...I've kind of come to terms with probably not getting a red chambray this season and I'm fine with it.

Yeah, $268 for the Firemans jacket. I was initially under the impression that it was navy blue, but cs said it was black. Not sure if I should get it or just stick with the millerain field jacket in black (haven't worn it yet so I could return it)

As for the red chambray, I would guess that it won't be available in tall sizes. When the white came out last summer, it was only in regular sizes since it was limited. The gray is still only in regular. I figure they only offer the indigo in tall because it is such a staple shirt.

Hopefully a cheaper end store like Lands End Canvas or Gap, etc. will come out with a red chambray. I like the idea of it but probably wouldn't end up wearing it that often. Seeing the pictures of the rrl version and some others, they seem too light to me, even pinkish. Hopefully it ends up being as dark as in the promo pictures.
