got rejected from georgia tech mech. e grad school :/
not yet...i have a solid gpa and supposedly good references, and some research experience and all. pretty much everything is solid except my gre's, but i figured (and a couple of professors advised me) to just leave my scores as is and chalk it up to a bad day since the rest of my stuff speaks to my ability im waiting on the majority of my schools though so hopefully everything works out.

Just got offered a job I think I really want, but at an insulting salary. Even if I make a ballsy counter offer, I still would be way less than I was expecting. This is actually less than I made 5 years ago. Not sure what to do.

Chicago O'Hare for a conference. Will be back home the same night, which isn't too bad.
Poor people. Not unemployed people just having trouble making ends meet, but friggin' poor people. Blech.
