Cargo Pants... Does Anyone Still Wear Them

I fine cargo pants very useful for certain professions (police, medics, military) or an outdoorsmen, but as a fashion/style... i don't like them, not in shorts or pants, i don't find them appealing. I don't need that many pockets, and especially not on my legs with flaps.

if you need many pockets, like if your a tradesmen (carpenter, Electrician) i understand... but does anyone still like the casual style/fashion of CARGO PANTS, if so, how do you wear them, do you actually utilize the pockets, do you wear them with a Sport Jacket????

I didn't like them when they hit the market in the late 80's or so, they are useful for certain activities, but as a dress style, i never wore them.

Just my opinion

I wear them all the time but not for fashion's sake. They are an excellent pant for outdoorsman/tradesman and that's exactly why I wear them.

I wore a pair of cargo shorts when I went to an amusement park a month ago. Those buttonable pockets with flaps come in handy when you need to go on a roller coaster ride.

For those who watch TV, the main character of Dexter wears cargo pants everytime he murders someone. You need to stuff the murder weapons somewhere, I guess.

They remain popular as cheap nasty garments unfortunately.

The Dads in my neighborhood wear them a lot. All those pockets come in handy for stashing kids' snacks, small toys, etc. Perhaps child-wrangling is a form of outdoor sport.

I think this says it. They are practical enough to be forgivable when purposefully worn, but for casual/fashion wear they are something of an abomination.

I like pockets, as was said, dealing with kids requires pockets.

I am actually planning on having some pants made in flannel with more pockets - not nessasarily the dual cargo pockets on the sides like with standard cargo pants, but a single large pocket on one side.

they might not look that stylish, but they can be very usefull

I still see them a lot in shorts (cargo pockets), somebody must be buying them.

I actually have a couple pairs of cargo shorts for long beach outings and hiking in the summer. Makes a bit of a sense.
