Hi, if I'd have just seen them on their own, I would have thought "nice, but not for me". However, they look surprising good on your feet. Well done. You've really got me thinking about having a pair done.

I guess this does go to show that the proof is in the wearing.

Enjoy and wear in good health.

Look forward to seeing your boots.

Unlike marriage partners, I cannot just stick with one when it comes to shoes.

But to each his own, enjoy your OneShoe

I would not dare wear them with shorts.

Nice shoes. They're not a style I prefer, but they're quite nice.

I'm starting to believe I could make do with just longwings, but in a variety of different colors.

Why is the OneShoe always a loafer or blucher? I would consider a dark brown captoe balmoral (like the one in my sig

) to be the OneShoe...if I wanted one shoe.

Oh no. Another typhoon is coming? I am joining you on the club and am sending money. Crazy.

Thanks Clint. I don't think you'd be disappointed. A very practical and beautiful shoe.

So similar to the C&J Kempton one of my favourites.

Thank you. I've only seen the Kempton in store pictures. Do you have any pics of your own? Someone makes a similar pair for New and Lingwood too, and AS has a new RTW version on the 106 last. But no one makes them RTW w/ Dainite soles. Seems like a perfect fit. If someone does, I hope they'll send me some royalties! Or better yet, send them to the victims of the many recent disasters in Asia.

I know someone who is happy about the first part! And I agree w/ both parts. But if I could only have one...

Thanks J. I have one pair of longwings and enjoy them a lot. I think they'd be about #10 on my list.

They're definitely not a boot. And I wouldn't wear them for anything more than short urban commutes at less than 35 mph. But their soles make them grip well, which is essential for backing up a few hundred pounds of steel (no reverse), and for stability when coming to a stop on hills.

Btw, I wanted to acknowledge the craftspeople at AS who did a marvelous job. Here are some pictures from the factory:

This is just a selection from several pics they sent to tide me over while I waited. Such a treat to see the many hands that worked to bring these phenomenal shoes to me. I will enjoy them for decades to come. Thank you!

The RJ cat once puked on some new EG shoe bags. I felt like he was trying to tell me something, but I was not sure what.
