I distrust the Uk tabloids anyway...Thank you for clarifying his situation..

He was paying a 100 pounds a month rent for a living in a Londn palace owned by the Royals..
No mention was ever made of his unpaid work for them...

His wife was caught in new-York using racist language towards some Black ladies..
She is a plebe and also Australian which is for a lot of toffs a problem on its own..

Her mother ran a very nice hair salon in Australia, however: surely, that must count (get it? count...uhm, countess?) for something.

Those who use Facebook can sorta friend the princess at I ♥ Princess Michael of Kent.

Thanks Vox for that piece of (truthful) history. However, her family is intensely aristocratic in the Austro-Hungarian tradition as they are directly descended from the famous Windischgraetz family - I believe.

Her mother's profession was a product of dispossession in a foreign land and from all acoounts she was a most charming and cultured person.

M-C knew when she went to London she had to leave Australia all behind. The problem was that unlike most Aussies she has a toxic personality (or lack of it) which is notorious and which has made her integration into the Royal Family particularly difficult and tiresome.

Toxic? Is she borderline psychotic or what? I know she insulted a few locals when she came to New-York but it is a Royal family personality trait...

You know how the tabloids play up that sort of rubbish. She's probably nowhere near as toxic as some people claim.

She is lovely. They're not too bad and I hope their offsprigs will not be too ugly.

I'm with you on the whole anti-ugly-baby sentiment.

Far too many of them.

Rivals? Patrick consistently trims his beard. He's on today's Sart, for further evidence

Funny thing is, the collars usually genuinely work for the Prince, whereas Windy seems as if he takes fashion (and lifestyle) tips from Seb Horsley:

Well, so long as you don't expect them to be grateful

I've been out of touch with him too, although I might want to interview him for the blog sometime
