I have a good friend who graduated from there. What's the deal? Is it too small?

A couple of my good friends graduated from there. The bars on Green street are awesome.

I liked it, but it is indeed small, insular, and rural--although not far from cities. Having grown up in the burbs, I appreciated the bucolic setting etc., but I think for people who decide they're looking for a more urban and diverse (for lack of a better word) experience, it's not necessarily a great fit. Good English and art history profs, though.

Seems like everyone that went to a prestigious undergrad went on to prestigious grad- it is quite disheartening to see almost none of the lower tiered alumi doing the same.

What are you studying? I'm an undergrad and agree about the towns and must say that the bars get old very quickly. Downtown Champaign has some cool vintage shops, but not too much else.
