I will start: Steve moved the "Better Days" thread because a troll was invading it and being abusive. I banned the troll and moved it back as soon as I saw it. Downtime was a couple of hours.

Edit:

This is not a thread to call out members, to say "well if he got banned why didn't X,", etc. Concerns about members or threads should be expressed in private message to me or to another appropriate moderator (for the subforum in question).

Think you've got me mistaken with someone else. I haven't explicitly called anyone out. The only thing I do that could possibly cause offense is post awesome pictures of trains, and there are some train haters here.

A year ago this would have emptied out the CEsspool, it still would cut out maybe a third. Whether or not that would hurt the forum is another question....

I see that auto40903 (or whatever) was banned. Was this really because he called me an incestuous redneck? Or did he do other things? I'm just curious as to what the line is for personal attacks. I'm not all that offended he called me that, he basically proved my point about knee-jerk partisanship (and my sister is pretty damn hot), I just didn't know people could actually be banned for personal attacks.

Yeah, that was pretty much it. I figured that was close enough to racism to warrant a ban.

On that note, there are a few others who, reading this, should take note. I am not so stupid as to not be able to distinguish between those who are making a point using humor, and those who are being genuinely racist. The latter will receive a timeout or ban, without warning.
