Yes. In fact, my challenge now is discovering which hats I can't wear

Perfect. It will give me an excuse.

I rarely wear a fedora, but I wear other types of hats often.

Since I travel a lot I usually buy crashable type hats like hunting, or summer straw-like hats.

I tend to think fedoras are less conspicuous in a cold drizzle, say, than on a balmy spring day. For guys under 50 or so, they need the right setting, and they need a certain attire, either very dressy or a little eccentric./QUOTE]

+1 on this advice

I always wear a fedora to school. I've had a cheap black wool felt one for a few months, but now I've got a Christy's Foldaway (just in time too - the black hat has become horribly tapered and looks ridiculous now). People are more shocked when I don't wear a hat than when I do (they're probably expecting me to wear a monocle to the prom).

I'd add "am I barmis, Labelking, or Man of Kent" to that.

Regrettably, some people just look stupid in fedoras. I am one of them.

I went without a hat the other day, and that felt odd.

Hmm... Now that the April NPC is over, I should probably buy another summery hat...

Nah, all though I really like to look of 40's/50's suits, the fedora died with that age.

I think wearing one you risk looking like a super dork/nerd who's trying to look like indiana jones.

Kinda like the guys who wear the star wars stormtrooper costumes.

So,
No. Not in our current state of dress.

Summer Down Under ...you want skin cancer and heat/sunstroke? ...walk around in midday for an hour or so without a wide brimmed hat...straw or felt...
