I hate a lot of things. I have a list.

FWIW, turtlenecks are nice under buttondown shirts with khakis. Don't like them with suits.

Oxford clothes.

Slim-fitting, high-water trousers--especially on folks with large feet and/or large upper bodies.

Lots of good comments on here already - I'm with Zack on RTW shirts. I don't get it at all. I may never buy another RTW shirt in my life.

I really don't like monkstrap shoes at all. That's pretty close to iGent blasphemy, I think.

I have a tough time with loafers in general.

This is now the Two Minutes' Hate, so the thread's actual premise goes out the window.

If I remember correctly, whnay let out his rage over this in his small timer thread, and that didn't exactly go over swimmingly. I just haven't figured out how to constructively point out that you can't combine a light gray Harris Tweed sport coat, silk floral tie, dark gray pinstripe vest, and microstripe pants of another shade of gray.

Sorry, missed your "popular or not" comment.

Here... I hate: Wide spread collars Bold shirts Ties with crazy patterns Thick woven ties Antiqued shoes Suspenders Subtle sportcoats The majority of cashmere tweeds Bright colored socks Socks with obvious patterns Narrow shouldered jackets The list really goes on and on. I hope to offend just about everybody but myself.

I agree with all those except thick woven ties, within reason, and maybe narrow-shouldered coats, depending on how you define the term. I'm also guilty of obvious patterns on my socks, though, oddly, I don't really like them.

I especially agree about wide spreads. So you'll have to work harder to offend me.
