C&J dilemma - which handgrade? (photos inside)

I have gone back and forth over this for almost the entire weekend now, and am no closer to deciding. My partner can't decide either - she likes them both as well!

The shoe will be mostly worn with navy suits, with the occasional mid-grey suit. It will almost certainly be worn to some social events, though it will be doing work duty about 65% of the time. So it's time to turn to the forum - which one? The Belgrave, or the Audley? Both are on the same (337) C&J last, but the Audley (dark brown) is a little darker than the Belgrave (chestnut). I have both, but the Belgrave definitely sees more wear in my rotation.

The Audley in Dark Brown is going to be my first C&J purchase, but that's only because it comes in my size (14D US). The Belgrave is a beautiful shoe but doesn't come in my size. Guess that makes it an easy choice for me but I'd have to flip a coin in your case.

Oops, guess I was wrong on it not coming in my size after I clicked on the pictures you linked for us. I'd just checked Pediwear and only saw it coming up to a UK12 on their site. Where did you get those pics? I'd go with the Belgrave then if all else is equal since I like the punched cap look.

I feel your pain. I hate decisions like this.

The Audleys are probably a little more suit-worthy than the Belgraves. But the Belgraves are a little sexier. I can't bring myself to vote.

Perhaps you could resolve the dilemma this way: If you already have a really good pair of shoes to go with your navy suits, then splurge on the Belgraves. If not, then the Audleys are probably a better value for you.

I just think the Audley looks better. I like colour and toe seam a lot better than the Belgrave.
But the Belgrave looks great in suede. So go get the Audleys first, then the Belgrave in suede.

Both are extremely nice. I voted for the Audley because I think both the colour and the style are just a bit more versatile.

I vote for the Belgrave because I think the Whitehall is a nicer stitch cap than the Audley.

The broguing provides visual interest I like, and it works well with the slightly lighter color.
