Which of these two AE Shoes do you like?

Hi Everyone,

Since getting on this forum, I'm oddly addicted to buying shoes (never been that interested before). I have two pairs of Allen Edmonds (black captoe Westwood, and brown bicycle toe Warren) and would appreciate any opinions on which pair would better complement what I have ... the AE chestnut perforated captoe, or the AE Delary burished Chilli. These will be mostly for a relatively casual office environment.

Note that the Warren look a slightly lighter shade than the photo.

I've included pics of both and also my Warrens for comparison. I've been here a short time and this community has been great, so thanks in advance!

Depends on what you need. I don't like the Warren for any purpose, but have both of the other two. I would say that I wind up wearing the Delray much more than the Clifton, although I wear both quite a lot. The Delray has a great casual style with a nice chiseled toe (more so than appears in the photos). I find it to have a very wide range of uses. I wear it to work with trousers and sports jackets. It can also dress down more casually than the Clifton, IMO. It also has a nice burnished finish for an AE.

That said, the Clifton is great as well. I wear it a lot also. I have it in both chestnut and in black (which I'm wearing today).

EDIT: On rethinking this, I wouldn't say that the Delray has a wider range. I'd say that while their ranges overlap, Delray is wider to the casual end while Clifton is wider to the formal end (or something like that).

I like them both. To me, the Delray in a chili will be more versatile in that it can be casual and dressy. The Clifton is still a great selection. I guess the solution is to get them both from the start. Believe me, if you get the one, you will immediately want the other. And that, my friend, is the beginning of the downward spiral into the AE addiction.

Thanks all!

I was leaning towards the Clifton and that seems to be the consensus here. The Warren's I found were the only dark brown that I could get on sale, but now there are many deals at 6PM webpage in many sizes.

Hopefully I can hold off for a while before getting something else ...

My order is officially in for the Cliftons!

I regret not coming here earlier for opinions about the Warrens as I would have considered other alternatives. I guess I'll take solace in that I personally don't mind the style and that few people I'll encounter will have an eye for such details. Oh well...
