On a trad BD, there is no interlining, making the collars very soft. The roll is simply a matter of cutting the points long, and positioning the buttons higher than where the tips of the points would naturally fall.Originally Posted by Manton

The houndstooth is from Thomas Mason Silverline; look for someone who carries it and hopefully has that pattern.

JP - did you "fix" the collars before shooting the pics? Seeing how soft the collar is not having any interlining, perhaps you need to spend time adjusting the collar over the tie to make sure it sits and rolls properly (i.e., the look could greatly improve if you stuck your fingers between your tie and the collars and "set" the collar correctly). Hopefully this is the issue rather than on the construction. Otherwise, it appears that in fact, the collars aren't working out (a la Vox and Manton's examples).

I like them both ways, but the lack of tie space you have is killing the shirt. The Borrelli collars are really nicely shaped, but IMO are a bit too stiff.

First, love the first jacket (well, like them both, but especially the first)...part of a suit, correct? Do you recall what fabric?
And as for the collars being stiff...all the Neopolitan global RTW have fused collars, AFAIK, so yes, a bit stiff compared to good old pre-Marks & Spencer Brooks Brothers. BB collars after that became stiffer, and once BB moved from NJ to NC, very stiff...stiffer than the Italian stuff. The fusing on the Italian stuff is at least well done.
