I think you will look much better on a much finer contrasting collar shirt. The strips on your shirt has similar width to the chalk strips on your suit; the visuals are buzzing and disorienting.

I've always like the contrasting white collar/cuff look. Always seemed to make an outfit more formal and sharp.

Is that what the sequal will be about.

The insurance gekko would surely win the green contest, BTW.

Green lizard wingtips are de rigeur for hostile takeovers this season.

He'd probably turn up in that jacket made of sewn-together dollar bills.

It only works really well when you have a detachable stiff collar and apron shirt. Then it looks great. Best examples are seen amongst the real old money, Prince Charles etc at places like Royal Ascot. Otherwise it's terribly Donaldish. I'd never wear it with a soft collar shirt but do sometimes with a detachable stiff collar.

I like this look. I also like them with a suit as an alternative to a plain white dress shirt-- with the suit buttoned and a tie what you mostly see is the collar and the cuffs.

But I cant help thinking of Lumberg.

So much of how one dresses is or should be about restraint even if you want to be distinctive. It's next to impossible to describe what I mean but you know it when you see it. I always take a look at myself in the mirror when I'm formally dressed just to make sure I haven't overcooked it.
