Well, a 5.3 quake seemed like it would be pretty big to me, but I'm not used to stuff like that.

It sucks this happened though:

We felt a jolt in the house (and I'm in London which is a long way from Lincolnshire) but no damage. The stories on the news were pathetic - "I thought I was going to die" etc.

How we ever ruled the world is beyond me with the amount of morons in this country.....

I'm in London. I'd just got into bed when the house started shaking a tiny bit, as if a big train was going by. We have a railway track next to our house, so I put it down to that, until I looked and saw no train. Decided I had had too much to drink. Wode up the next day, radio told me there it was a quake.

Most people were asleep, so wouldn't have felt it. It was the tiniest, least scary tremor you can imagine.

Went like this
3:15am
I am laying on my futon, cant sleep, tapping my foot.
*ground gets all wavy*
Me: *wakes up woman* "Hey Yumi, I think we just had an earthquake"
Yumi: "Really? Oh, well Im going back to bed"
Me: "Crazy..."
I fell asleep about an hour later. I think it was rated at 5.6 Mag.
