i have 2 suits here, which do you think fits best ? don't bother about sleeves, they are not altered yet

first one : PRL made in usa suit, chest 20, sh 18.5, a little bit tight on torso
Attachment 59177
Attachment 59178

second one : PRL made in usa, chest 20.5, sh 18, i am comfortable in it
Attachment 59179
Attachment 59180

third one RLBL DB (new suit, i just pulled sleeves in) chest 20.5, sh 18.5, comfortable, size 40, i am normally 38
Attachment 59182
Attachment 59181

with the exception of RLBL suit, they are cheap (RLBL is also bargain, available on B&S), and quality is nice, i am planning to buy a solid navy suit, i would like to be sure about sizing-fit before buying it.
I really like the style of RLBL but i am unsure about the fit for me, 38 will be too small i guess (if chest is just 19.5", but 20" is acceptable)
which solid navy do you think should i get for $1000-1300 ?
Thanks

Second one looks like the best starting place (the vent is opening on the first) and would just need some extra padding in the right dropped shoulder and to have the upper back around the arm holes cleaned up.

The first suit fits badly, second one is ok but BBC is spot on.

Navy RLBL? That would be a good suit, been a while since I saw it in Navy. PRL is also quite good, I saw one in solid Navy (albeit not your size) not so long ago.

Granted I am pretty much a noob, but it looks to me like there is just too much room in all those suits. Second one is the best but the fit is just not there for me. Not a fan o the lapel width either but that's a question of personal preference.

Agree. Second one is the best out of the three, but I am not a fan of the lapel width. Will need to be tailored as well.

Second one, however the sleeves are still too long.

The first has very good elements, but seems a bit off; likely due to you leaning on one foot. A bit too tight on certain areas regardless though.

yes , sleeves are going to be altered. All suits have good elements, they are all fully canvassed. the fact that the first suit is somewhat tight on torso is because of chest is 20" ? i move better in the second one this is because chest is 0.5" larger or there are other elements which makes the first one tight on torso ?

+1

They're all too big in the shoulders. The second is the best but from the back, it's apparent the shoulder blades are bunching up and the sides are slouching down b/c they're too wide. Mid-waist can always be let out, so go and try a 36. You're falling into the common fallacy that you're a bigger size than you are.

Hmm, i will do that, but i have a chest of 38.2", i guess 36 is giong to be small for me.

On the first the collar is too wide so makes gaps between your breast, also the sleeves are too long but that is easy to fix.

The second one is the best.

The DB is not.
