Just purchased this suit and I thought it looked good while in the shop, and still do seeing in the morror. I took some photos and I don't like what I'm seeing as much so I'd like anyone's opinion on the fit. Thanks.

The jacket looks to be a touch too big and a touch too short.

Shoulders too wide. If you want to keep the length on that jacket, you'll need to slim down those pants, which are a 1/2" long maybe.

Length of jacket seems short, but would be okay as a going-out of an evening outfit, as long as you stick with the open collar. Sorry, but I think it'll look a bit gangly with a tie.

As I understand it you should ba able to put your hands at your sides and cup the bottom of the Jacket.

I see, so his jacket is probably ~1.5 inches too short?

That's a common fallacy as arm length will vary between individuals. The most reliable method is to have the jacket hem hit midway between your collar and the floor, though adjustments may be needed due to a person's physical proportions. Most importantly, as A Tailor often says, make sure that the jacket covers your ass.

i agree with tomasso. the jacket length is just 1-2" too short, it should just cover your bottom. also, the shoulders may also be 1-2" too wide. pants should also be taken in ~1" and maybe you want a 1cm taper from the back to the front of the pants hem for such a slim jacket fit.

first rule in life is "always cover your ass" apply that to suits also.
seems that you have a left low shoulder.
trousers too long. but when being fitted. were wearing your belt?
and was it on your waist or on your hips?

Thanks for all the comments.

I'm 6'1 and very slim in the shoulders so finding a fitting jacket especially across the shoulders that isn't too short is hard, this is the best I have found so far. The sleeves on this one were extended as far as they could go. Looking in a mirror because of the paralax view the jacket length looks perfect, but in the photo it does look a little short for my leg length from the front and wide from the back. I don't like the kinking in the fabric near the armpit in the back. Would this be an easy fix or not worth the effort?

As far as the trousers I thought they were spot on when I bought them and are tight enough that don't require a belt for practical purposes. (I had to size up 2 for the trousers) but was told they should be legthend so they end at the heel. I may have been wearing them higher during fitting but even with these very narrow shoes the fabric gets caught on the top back of the shoe and usually doesn't drop past.

I've always had bad posture, one of my shoulders is always lower than the other, I have to try to conciously correct it so it doesn't look like I'm leaning ot one side.

Amazing eye. I've since gone back to the picture several times and still can't quite figure out how you were able to tell.

isnt this one sign of the shoulders being too wide or can this be fixed?

The jacket looks wide but the fabric on the sleeves at the shoulder is actually sitting against my arm, there is no gap between the side of my arm and the suit just bellow the shoulder seam. Would I be able to get a smaller/thinner suit and still fit? I have very thin arms, could the sleeves be just too wide for me? In which case are there any suits I should be looking at to counter that problem?
