What last fits similar to Vass F-last or Carminas Rain last i.e. high instep and quite wide.

I am currently planning on buying suede Chelsea boots and choosing between Loake Chatsworth or below ones from Yanko. How do they compare in terms of quality and is Yanko worth the premium?

https://www.skolyx.se/en/shoes/257-chelsea-boot-light-brown-suede.html

also is this the same color as below on patine.pl?

https://patine.shoes/yanko-766v-cognac.html

Its the same color yes, about the Quality i hope someone else can answer since you probably want someone elses oppinion :)

I have never bought any Loake, but had them in my hands several times. I would go for yanko, I think the overall quality is better. Can not talk about suede with yanko, but the the leather in general is very good.

Go for Yanko ;)

Would love if somebody with experience on both brands can comment.
It seems lot of people shared that customer service is far from ideal. Where at Loake it is on a good level. So question is whether a bit of quality worth the price.

Hopefully someone with experience from both brands can share his/her experience also.

About customer service, Im not sure what you base this on, but i havent read or received any complaints regarding Skolyx, and neither for patine.

The ones that had complained for customer service is because they buy directly from Yanko. Emil, from Skolyx, is a great guy, it's like your talking to a friend that knows you for ages. At least that's my experience with him.

My experience with skolyx.se and patine is very good. Ordering from Yanko directly was a bit rocky (order confirmation and sending of tracking code took quite some time)since they just had set up their website, but in total also very fast and the customer service was very friendly.

What is the typical shipping cost to the US from Skolyx and/or Patine.pl ? I assume VAT is removed in the cart?

I've had nothing but great experiences ordering from both skolyx and patine. I've never tried to order directly from Yanko and don't see a reason to do so when I can go through either of those folks. And to answer a previous question, I don't own any Loake, but Yanko is very good quality IMO, especially for the price. I love Carmina and believe they are still a step above Yanko, but it's not enough to justify the amount of the price premium over Yanko IMO. I think Yanko's suede is nice as well.

Yes, avoid dealing with Yanko directly. They are very frustrating to deal with, see my previous experiences in this thread.

Patine on the other hand is a pleasure to deal with, and they intervened in previous case which was more than helpful.

Quality wise Yanko is far above Loake (I own multiple shoes/boots of both brands).

From my limited experience (2 pairs of Yanko, 2 pairs of Loake 1880) I would say Yanko shoes have better looking lasts, are made with more precision and have better leather soles (not good though, just better than Loake leather soles which are complete disaster). Loake on the other hand uses better leathers which age prettier than Yanko.

And I concur with you on Patine.pl customer service, it is excellent.
