Worth returning this bomber jacket?

Recently purchased a Haider Ackermann Reversible Bomber Jacket Cynara Gold. It is a beautiful piece and my first major clothing purchase. However, the company I bought it from shipped a damaged product with multiple tears / rips on the velvet fabric. It appears that they also sprayed some sort of fragrance on it. Is it worth returning this bomber jacket or possibly asking for a discount for the defects? For anyone with experience with velvet jackets, will these areas grow larger in size? Also found two slight tears / rips on the left hand sleeve after the pictures were taken.

I wouldn't spend a single thought, when I read rips and tears and return the garment right away. Don't even consider bargaining unless you want the used look.
