Honestly, their attempts with the Gough and apparently now the Williamsburg haven't been particularly lame at all. They're weak and two pairs of pants aren't going to save them, but these still look pretty cool.

No problem, shoulda been more clear on my end, I guess it was just a kneejerk reaction. I just hate corporations trying to make $ on people and places that want to have nothing to do with them. Not a big Williamsburg person myself, just think its really stupid, I think they(Old Navy) did it before with Williamsburg tees a few years ago.

Mellow Fellow posted on SuFu: the gap jeans is called "williamsburg", it is a skinny fit jeans. I think only the big Gap stores will carry it since they are "testing" to see if the jeans will sell. I would describe the fit as similar to the apc ns but tighter on the legs. The denim is really rigid. They comes in dark denim and black overdye. The price is around $60 bucks which is really cheap.

This is just a guess, but I'd expect them to be in the same stores that carried the Goughs. Who knows, though.

So is this it - the Dior cut and raw denim go mainstream at the same time, hand in hand?

heh, bound to happen sometime... when something works so well, others will follow... gap's filling the hole where people don't want to pay $300 for diors.

i also believe diors seem like a hypebeast phenomena to me now, such as dunks and supreme.

at the end its gap quality, and you get what you paid for.

Actually, GAP denim is pretty high (or at least above average) quality; it's from the same source as PDC among other higher-end denim labels IIRC.
