Tried to make it shorter, but the knot looked weird (too long) because it was being made with a wider part of the tie. I'm a short prick. Wondering if the waistband level rule still applies so strictly when one is wearing his pants so high, though.

I'm curious as well. There may be a point where the tie just looks to short even if it does end at the right place, relative to the waistband

sleeves may be a touch too short, too. The jacket overall looks very dated.

Definitely. Navy or brown would be my first choices here. This is too much green as it is.
