White duck trousers

No real question to this post, I was just so amazed that places sold white duck trousers. I thought it was just a military thing, though ours are styled differently. http://www.bensilver.com/fs_stor....group=1 Actually, I guess my question would be, does anybody actually wear these?

Well, I'm wearing a very similar pair of white trousers with a tan sportcoat, light blue green shirt, teal pocket square and brown and white A-E two-tones as I type this.

Can someone care to explain what are DUCK trousers? I clicked on the Ben Silver link and they just appear to be regular cotton trousers to me.

Incidentally, I bought a pair of white plain-front, slim-fit cotton trousers last weekend. From H&M. $29. I tried a pair of white trousers at Faconnable and while the quality of the cotton was superb, it was pleated and it was too baggy for my taste. It was $165. A pair of white trousers is a very important staple in the Continental understated casual look.
