Wearing morning dress to graduation

I would say probably not. But you might be able to get away with it depending on what you are graduating from.

Most graduations I've been to, both my own and in the audience, have a dress code. Then again, it's under a robe most of the time, so what's the point?

It sounds like a desperate cry for attention to me. I guess it would be under a robe, so it probably does not matter.

I wore something fairly similar to morning dress for my college graduation. (Sans head cover of course).

Then again, I went to a military college and the uniform for the occasion was full dress gray with summer white trousers. The coat was a very low quality wool, but there was plenty of it for those nice warm days in August and May when we wore it.

Realistically, since most of your classmates will be wearing flip flops and shorts (if given the choice), I suggest you consider toning down your intended dress.
