If the yen continues to get weaker, I’m going to try to get the distressed leather 101xx. That thing was jaw dropping. I much prefer that silhouette to the elemendorf, but the leather treatment is exquisite in either case.
Other highlights for me: FIL exclusive amplus SB crewnecks and hoodies, amplus knit sweaters, the brownish mawata silk hakama pants and kiyari jacket, the “oil stained” shirts, Byron drivers jacket, lamb Virgil’s with upper distressing, and the piece de resistance - the purser deck jacket.

I was deciding between leather 101xx and elmendorf. I chose the 101xx because the distress detail is truly amazing, especially in the black color way IMO. Hope you can cop yours for a good price!

Layout is way too busy and chaotic, and lookbook isnt helping. I dont know why but it seems their lookbooks are more vibey now than before, and dont focus on the clothes. Its so dark- all the older seasons were really easy to see what they were releasing and did a better job highlighting different items.

I got the 101xx in black. I'm hoping that the actual production items look as good as the one they had at the trunk show. Also hoping that this exchange rate sticks until the rest of the balance is due :D

I was just looking at the FW16 look book and there's a huge difference in how clear and bright each of the pictures are.

the “oil stained” shirts..... and the piece de resistance - the purser deck jacket.

Genuinely curious, whats special about the purser deck jacket. It looks like a stripped down unlined deckhand with a crappy notch collar. Probably charging the same they used to for the deckhand too lol. Any pics of the stained shirt your referring to? Cheers
