Picked up my first vibergs and they fit great 2030, but on my right foot my big toe slightly touches the top of the toe box, has anybody every stretched it? Vertical not horizontal

I've had a lot of boots with celastic and some steel toe boxes where my toe rubbing on the top of the toe box causes rub through rather quickly and become uncomfortable or at least noticeable.

I've been wearing a pair of vibergs with the ;new' full leather toe puff and a thin Nick's leather insole and it is insanely comfy compared to my previous experiences in the toe box. It is starting to make me prefer a very snug fit compared to my usual wants for a loose toe box. It helps the entire front of the shoe is lined well.

I think your foot will naturally create some stretch with wear, though you'll have more comfort down the line when the insole/midsole break in and naturally have some curve.

Structured or unstructured and are you sure they're the right size?

Toe box is probably going to fall even lower after a while.

Might want to try a different size or possibly 2040??

Just got my double cordovan boots delivered. Laced them up and wore them out even though it’s raining like always in the PNW. This is my first pair of shell boots and I know people freak about water spots but whatever. These things are beasts, easily the thickest and stiffest vibergs I own. The leather is very interesting, dry but very smooth with lots of texture. Will post pics laters.

Does anyone else feel like the heel of the unlined boots is much less comfy with the large amount of exposed stitching compared to a fully lined shaft with its very thin line of exposed stitch?

Or is that just a break-in thing.
