I thought Viberg no longer carried harness leather. If they got some more hides I would be interested too

Anyone have examples of harness leather?
I did a google image search and some kinky stuff popped up.

I think maybe a burgundy service boot, something dressier than the other boots we've done, and I want to propose a scout boot in tan buffalo, on a ripple sole. I think that that could look amazing, like the most awesome hunting boot ever. Paging @Fycus and other Visvim fans for this one.

I am open to other ideas as well.

I don't know how everyone else feels about this and I'm probably in the minority, though I hope not...but I've never actually seen a Viberg Service Boot on the 110 last that is a basic black or brown calf leather boot with a regular dainite or black vibram sole...just a traditional work boot. Most make ups tend to be something more exotic with horsehide or copper rough out or burgundy on a 2030 and to be honest, I just want so desperately to have at least one pair of normal looking traditional Viberg boots on a normal work boot last. Not something from their actual workboot line, but something custom with a more traditional work boot look. Not something with a turned up toe or a pointed toe, just a regular every day work boot. That would make me SO happy. These White's are the closest I've come to achieving this, but to have a pair of Vibergs like this...my life would be complete!

I would love a plain black service boot on the 110 last.

7 brass eyelets, commando sole, plain toe, and natural edge dressing.

FYI: Here are my former 110s in black horsehide, with Dainite. They were beauties, though I wanted a structured toe and pretty sure these weren't. Alas, too big and they got sold...

Re: harness leather. FWIW Red Wing calls the leather on their Iron Rangers harness leather. Not sure how much that means...

These are Scouts in buffalo on a 110 last w/ wedge sole. I got them a couple of months ago from the Upthere Store in Australia. Not service boots. I love em.
