I was reading an article about turnback cuff suits recently. The exposituer made them sound like they were quite elegant, but something did not look right from his pictures. The cuff looked badly done and kind of cheapy. Does anybody have a picture of a good version of this feature? Thanks in advance.

Will has a pic on his blog. I personally am not a fan of turnback cuffs on city suits.

FNB also wrote on them. Here is a link to his picture, I don't know if we are allowed to post actual images from other sights.

I saw a few turnback cuffs when i was in London in January. One was worn by a tailor at at Andrew Ramroot's shop and it looks awsome on his very fitted mod style suit. The other was worn by a tailor at Henry Poole and because the suit was a bit baggy with wider armholes the turnback looked terrible.

This seems to make more sense in outerwear. If you were riding a bike or something , it would be nice to unbutton the cuff to keep out more cold and wind.

Doesn't James Bond wear them in one of the early movies like From Russia With Love or another from that era??? Or am I thinking of turn back (not french) shirt cuffs? I'm assuming their is at least one JB fan on this site that might know.

Although realizing you are emphatically aware of this fact, this piece is primarily about Harrison's multi-millionaire fabric. Turnback cuffs I can take or leave and in fact this one was set up by me tailor for easy removal should I grow ennuied with it.

Happy Holidays, guys.

Connery had turnback shirt cuffs in Dr. No, I believe.
