I can't think of anything that doesn't look better with a few years on it. Even Keith Richards looks more distinguished as an old man.

Anything long sleeve with a slim cut will gain character, I used to have a waxed cotton YSL jacket that had great character until it finally blew out at the elbows. Agree on any denim/indigo garments, my L/S indigo knit 45rpm tee is superb after 3+ years of wear.

Why? I guess from my perspective when I work with patterns my thought process is slim fit but when I'm working on a men's form and we're cutting away excess fabric I'm thinking slim cut, perhaps it only makes sense in my world.

i'm not sure if the body gets any better but collars on dress shirts always seem to develop a really nice character if you're going for a casual look. being a bit beaten up can look great on pretty much anything depending on the look you're going for...
