I checked all pages of the thrift thread and I am moving to the Hammond Indiana, Crown Point Indiana and was wondering what stores are the best up there? I don't need anything ritzy, just clothes as things get ruined by bus kids and everything like that since I have to dress up every day. Shoes is what I will go through the most, countless hours of walking in Chicago and wherever I get put at.

You're pretty close to Chicago, and I know there is a lot of great stuff floating around there. Lots of rich folks in the outlaying suburbs. Doesn't look too far from where you are at. I have a friend who lives in Burr Ridge, Ill (about 45 min to 1 hr from Crown Point). His neighborhood is filled with mini Taj-Mahals, so any nearby thrifts should be goldmines. Just look for the wealthy neighborhoods nearby and then look for thrifts close to those.
