Hello,

Looking to buy fabrics from one of these lines. Super 120s, weight around 300 gm for all season wear and essential colors like black, gray etc. One such line seems to be Amadeus from Dormeuil. I was wondering if you could recommend a store around NYC that would have pretty extensive selection.

Tip Top in Brooklyn seems to be comin up in many forums

Tip Top sells odds and ends for a good price, but you may not find something quite so specific as Amadeus. Dormeuil has a NYC office on their website. Loro Piana also has a NYC but the prices are jaw dropping.

Beckenstein's is another option but they carry Scabal.

Dormeuil will not sell directly to a consumer...only to tailors

I passed on the Amadeus as I found it to be too light (10oz) & delicate for my frame. Its touted as a luxury cloth.

I preferred the stripes in the Royal 12 book (still very light at 12oz/360grams).

Both of my Royal 12 striped suits have held up well and am happy with my purchase.

Royal 12 cost over $100 per meter, while the Amadeus fetch $150

Sadly, Dormeuil's web site is not rich in cloth pictures as JJ Minnis or Holland & Sherry

Unless the OP is a label whore, their are countless excellent solid color cloths out there at one third to a fifth of the price of Amadeus
