I have own a pair of sunglasses from Cartier and Oliver Peoples along with a number of Luxotica made ones (Versace, Prada etc... all of which I don't ever wear). The ones I wear on a day to day basis (Cartier and OP) seem to be far better constructed. Are Louis Vuitton sunglasses as well made? There's a pair or two I'd like to buy but would rather not pay a higher premium for an inferior product. They're a little more than OPs but obviously less than Cartier.

I was looking at sunglasses recently and was wondering about the quality too. I'm curious to know if anyone can confirm the quality of lens for Cartier and Vuitton. I hear the Luxiotica lens aren't that good. The best lens are Maui Jim and Revo.

Isnt Revo also a luxottica brand?

As for LV, no experience but would assume they aren't as good as MJ, OP, or Cartier

Are Cartier discernibly better than OP? Worth the difference in price?

MJ and Revo are both Luxottica brands.

Persol and RLPL are made by Luxottica and they have some of the best lenses I've tried. Construction quality on Persols ranges from good to amazing but I've liked the lenses on all of them.

Thought MJ was independant still??..>EDIT just checked their site and Luxottica doesn't list MJ but does list OP...

Also have heard nothing but good stuff about Persol, too bad I don't like their frames.

I have some Ray Bans which I like and were cheap
