Suit vent issue- Tailoring advice

I have several MTM Southwick suits that I had done for me about 6 months ago. After having lost some weight and getting the suits taken in I noticed an unusual issue with the vents- the side panels have "too much" fabric and don't sit flat underneath the back panel. I don't have much of a behind anymore (because of the weight loss) so I'm left with bunched up vents which cause a flared skirt look. On my single-vented jackets, all I had to do was ask that they get taken in all the way down (back side darts) and it solved the problem. Obviously, I cannot do this with hanging flaps. Is there any way to solve this problem? I have included a few semi-exaggerated example shots.

hrrm, well find a different tailor, or just live with it till your weight is stable.
Most likely, you will not fit in these suits in 6 months, beyond what can be done by a tailor and still look acceptable.

The pants look big on you as well. How much weight did you lose? I'm not sure if there is much you can do.

I was afraid of that. I've lost about 30 pounds in that time period and I seem to have evened out for the moment. Shame that I spent almost $4k and only got to wear the suits a couple times in their "ideal" state.

I dropped 40 last year and had to toss pretty much all my suits and sportcoats. For the two that I had bought on the way down and were workable, I know my tailor had to spend extra time to get the vents to lay right, and even asked I come in for an extra test fit.

The shoulders might be looking a bit big, or it could just be the photos. Unless you're built up top taking in the sides can really make the shoulders look bad.

I am pretty big in the shoulders- I kept my shoulder/chest to small waist ratio but I shrank everywhere, so I'm now a pretty solid 40L from a 42L

4K? Bummer. That's too bad. How did you lose some much weight so fast? I gained about the same amount of weight in college in six months from working out and eating a lot more, but I was a grossly underweight 19 year old back then. Point is, my clothes didn't fit either after that. It's a fair amount of weight.

almost 4k for four suits- I'd really be pissed if it was 1 for 4k!

sf_esq: Eating better, eating less, fewer carbs (though not cutting them out) multivitamins and fish oil. Not sure what happened, really. Any more loss and I'm going to the doctor.

The tailor didn't do the job thoroughly. Looks like he did not open the back of the sleeves and take in the blades and did not taper the side all the way to the bottom. Doing this triples the time to do the work but it needs to be done with this much weight loss. If the shoulder and chest still fit, the body can be reduced with no issues. See if he agrees or find someone more skilled.
