Suit Sizing Rule of Thumb?

True but suppose you're a 42R with a penchant for bright green linen suits and you finally found the perfect one in the discards section of the local JC Penny, but it's a 42L. You simply must have it.

In my opinion an individual should give proper attention towards all type of body measurement, yes the area around the chest and shoulder must look good but the other areas including collar gap, sleeve, and trousers measurement needs the same attention!
While searching a rule of thumb of suit sizing i got http://putthison.com/post/41872259063/the-rule-of-thumb-theres-a-rule-of-thumb it might give some assistance to anyone here
