I am looking around for a light colored (tan, grey, etc) pair of suede driving loafers. The ones I have found so far are a bit plain. The norm seems to be something similar to these from J Crew:

I would get something like this, but I'd like something with a little more detail. All it has to be is a trim/ribbon across the top, a buckle, anything.

I have that shoe. They are just okay. I don't like the color or cut, but they are a useful thing to have around. They're my quick-trip-to-the-corner-store, grabbing-the-laundry, sunday-to-the-diner shoes. I paid $30, I think.

Tod's are going to cost you much more than that, and from what I've heard, the sizing is wild. You need to try them on in person.

Check out Ben Silver. They often have unique colors on close-out.

I would go with Gucci Bamboo driving loafers!
Or else Prada, don't like Tod's when they aren't in calf.

Yeah the Gucci's are nice, they are so expensive though. I was hoping to pay less than 150. Maybe I'll get a pair of espadrilles instead.

The Tod's are quite nice. The ribbon striping they have is what I'm looking for, I was thinking I could get a cheap pair and just sew those details on myself. Maybe I'll just buy a new pair of insoles for my boating shoes that I paid $10 for last year but can't find for less than $50 this year. Or try these on alla payless:

I would definitely go with Tods. They have alot of styles that you might enjoy, especially many of the models that have small suede striping on the sides. Before I purchased mine in Milan last year, I tried on about four pairs before I finally found my correct size. I am normally a 9.5 in dress shoes, and my Tods are a 7.5 If you do decide to get a pair of Tods, make sure you try them on before purchasing them, if you can.

The Gucci bamboo ones seem to have crazy sizing as well. I tried on some this weekend. I'm normally a 9.5 and tried on the 7.5 and it was still a little loose. They were pretty darn comfortable though!
