Agreed - these are very heavy spoilers.....

Although it does make me look forward to the movie even more.

no kidding. his opinion of fans of the original - unadulterated - trilogy is a matter of public record. the only reason i even own the dvd set is that it was a christmas gift.

He managed to ruin the original trilogy. Â I'm trying to find an unadulterated copy on VHS. koji
And miss the eye-catching cloud city and jabba the hut scenes, both beautifully rendered by some guy sitting in a dark room eating doritos and staring at a computer.? C'mon, they go PERFECTLY with the mechanics of beautifully crafted props and sets. Here's how I imagine a conversation between Lucas and Natalie Portman going, based on the subdued-disappointed reaction to the process in some of her interviews: Lucas--Ok, in this scene, imagine there's a beautiful mountain in the distance, located right around here on this big green tarp. Portman--But, Mr. Lucas, there's a mountain right outside. Let's go film it there. L(grandoisely(sp?))-- But that's not acting. You have to act like there's a mountain behind you. Now, act. Stagehand--The fire in this fireplace keeps going out. L--Leave it. We'll fix it in post.

i just bought an old laserdisc player, for the expressed purpose of finding the original trilogy on LD. i plan to rip it to DVD.

i know, i know, it's available on the net. i just don't have the time and patience to do the whole bittorrent download.

plus think how cool it would be to have the discs.
