They're not really interchangable. Sportcoats you can wear generally, Trench coats are rain outerwear.

I don't now anything about their sport coats? Does the quality stand out compared to their other stuff?
Its great quality wise, reliable and all done domestically, nothing synthetic ever etc..
Ivy league-ers are the frequent shoppers from there, and hence usually have the $$ to overpay.
I would look elsewhere, no reason to blow your budget on one coat.
